In this development each property is given an individual role in the overall fabric of the town. Just as in any true town, people live within the fabric but with very different tastes. In this case, the clients (my brother and sister-in-law, in fact) are art collectors with modern tastes. The program was to contribute to Windsor’s town plan, properly display the owner’s collection of art and, within the privacy of the courtyard, create a modern expression of the traditional form.
