Tampa Museum of Art

Tampa Museum of Art

Tampa

Built in 2008 by Stanley Saitowitz.

Stanley Saitowitz designed the museum to look like "a metal box sitting on a glass pedestal” and makes use of aluminum, glass, and fiber optic color-changing lights in the exterior walls to "make the building itself a work of art". Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is next to the museum which was designed by the New York-based landscape architect Thomas Balsley. This park integrates the Riverwalk with the Glazer Children’s Museum, the Tampa Museum of Art and downtown.
