Architectural Office of Quina Grundhoefer Architects (Former Architectural Office of Clemens Bruns Schaub, Architect & Associates)
Pensacola
Built in 1986 by Clemens Bruns Schaub, AIA.

The original building is from the 1800’s. Folklore had it that it may have been a Spanish munitions building. In the early to mid 1900’s it was a corner grocery store (note remnants of the “Coca-Cola” logo on the side). The only parts remaining were the exterior four walls. The band of “clerestory” windows rests directly on the parapet. Interior columns do triple duty; structure, HVAC and, lighting. The simple coffered ceiling is the poor man’s homage to my favorite building, the Parthenon.
