Corban House / The Haldeman Creek House

Corban House / The Haldeman Creek House

Naples

Built in 2007 by David Corban, AIA.

Since Haldeman Creek House is built over a boat basin carved out of a water way, it is appropriate that it takes cues from old Florida fish camps found in the 10,000 islands and Pine Island Sound and from local marinas built upon the settling of Collier County. The home is built largely from old growth cypress, reclaimed from the boat house that previously occupied the site.  With numerous operable sliders, a “shotgun” configuration and venting skylights, the home takes full advantage of the microclimate formed by cooling breezes passing over the waterway.
