Originally started in 1885, 14-acre complex developed by Thomas Edison as seasonal residence and research facility. Main lodge is two framed vernacular houses connected by breezeway. The larger house is treated as a wing and contains living quarters, while smaller house contained dining room, kitchen, guest house and servants' quarters.
