The facility came at a historic time for Florida’s Space Coast community. At the end of the Shuttle program
came a massive workforce gap which displaced thousands. Through a series of projects on its Melbourne
campus, Embraer put hundreds of high-tech workers back to work and helped bring the community out of
one of the worst economic challenges in recent years. This cutting-edge facility helped to attract the best,
most experienced talent to the region.
