This elementary school design takes an updated approach to the Florida finger plan school from the 50's and 60's – utilizing outdoor
walkways, a simple, energy efficient site layout and modern detailing. It was built on a 14 acre parcel previously utilized for agricultural
purposes. Located adjacent to a High School and a proposed County Park to the north, the site was selected for the ability to share
existing infrastructure (chilled water / central plant), develop efficient traffic and parking plans - and most importantly, to conserve resources
and community green space.
